We went Trick-or-Treating around the Thimsens' cul-de-sac with our friends, the Gudors. We helped pass out candy at the Thimsens' door, which is always the best because their neighborhood is legendary and people come from near and far to trick-or-treat there. Mom T. put on a pot of spiced cider and Ryan cranked up Thriller, blaring from the upstairs windows for all to hear. David hid next to a scarecrow on the front porch to frighten unsuspecting, older children. Emma ran from the door whenever she saw someone with a mask or particularly scary costume. We all enjoyed seeing the cute, sweet costumes, like ladybugs, Minnie Mouse, a golfer, Spiderman and many princesses.
Emma wanted to be a cupcake and picked her favorite colors, pink and purple. We found a DIY tutorial online and modeled it a bit after the one in the Pottery Barn Kids catalog. She was so excited here and just wanted to get out there!
Jack was growing so fast, he didn't fit Emma's pumpkin costume or the Halloween onesie from his grammy. So, we put together a cowboy outfit. Luckily, we had almost everything we needed and all we purchased was a red bandana.
Ryan was Steve Jobs (in his mom's turtleneck) and I was a chef.
